Walmart to close 269 stores, shut down 'Express' format

Walmart announced it would be closing 269 stores worldwide, including 154 in the U.S. We now have a state-by-state breakdown of all of the stores to be closed, and when they will close the public.

The closing stores only represent less than 1% of Walmart’s total retail footprint, some 16,000 workers (10,000 of them in the U.S.) will be out of a job. That gives you an idea of just how many people Walmart employs.
